"Through Jesus we achieve our very best"

St Martin de Porres Catholic School is a wonderfully diverse community made up of children and families from a wide range of cultures and faiths. Our mission is to ensure all of the children who come to our school are loved and treated as individuals. We want them all to realise their full potential in all that they do, and in partnership with their parents, we want them to develop into caring and confident people, who can contribute positively to our society. 

The words, "Through Jesus we achieve our very best", can be seen everywhere in our school - from the huge letters in our entrance to the front of every exercise book the children write in. These words inspire us daily, that we do everything through the example of Jesus. We think of this in the way we treat each other - using the Gospel values of Love, Peace, Justice, Honesty and Forgiveness daily. We think of this in the way we use our gifts and talents to work as hard as we can, and to help others. We think of this as teachers, with the huge privilege and responsibility we have to care for the children in our care. At St Martin's, these words are our mission to guide us and to work towards.
